Best Friends Roadhouse and Mercantile

The Best Friends Roadhouse and Mercantile offers 40 rooms and suites designed to comfortably accommodate both people and their furry friends.

At the Roadhouse, you’ll experience the warmth of Best Friends hospitality. You can enjoy a complimentary vegan continental breakfast, as well as take advantage of the on-site pet grooming facility, complimentary guest laundry and dog park with a seasonal splash pad.

Designed expressly with you and your pets in mind, the Roadhouse is an animal lover’s dream come true. And if you’re a Best Friends member, don’t forget to ask about reduced rates.

Check-in and checkout

Check-in is at 3 p.m. or later and checkout is at 11 a.m. on the day of departure.

Rates

Rates are based on single or double occupancy. There is a $25 charge per night for any additional guests 16 years or older. Parking and internet access are free for guests. Pets stay for free. The maximum number of pets allowed per room is four. 

Booking and cancellation policies

A valid credit card is required to confirm a lodging reservation at the Roadhouse. We do not require a deposit prior to your stay. Your credit card will not be charged until you check in. Cancellations within two days and no-shows will be charged one night’s stay. Cancellations within 3 to 30 days will be charged a $25 fee. There is no charge for cancellations within 31 days or more. 

Pet policies

At the Best Friends Roadhouse and Mercantile, pets are just as much guests as their people are. For the comfort and happiness of both people and pets:

We recommend that your pets be well-socialized around people and other pets.

All dogs must be on a monthly flea preventative and also up to date on immunizations. Please provide a copy of shot records upon arrival.

We gladly welcome sleepovers with a dog or cat from Best Friends Animal Sanctuary (depending on availability of eligible pets), but guests participating in sleepovers cannot be traveling with their personal pets. If you are interested in scheduling a sleepover, please make arrangements prior to your arrival with the front desk. Guests welcoming sleepover pets must arrive at the Roadhouse before 2 p.m. Mountain Time.

We recommend that pets be crated whenever they are left unattended in the room. A limited number of crates are available through the front desk. A fee is charged for a crate.

Pets must remain on leash in all common areas, except the fenced dog park, which has posted rules at entry.

Guests are responsible for cleaning up all pet waste, both indoors and outside. Cleaning materials are available from the front desk and housekeeping, or at stations throughout the property. Additional cleaning fees will apply if excessive housekeeping is required. 

Two of the Roadhouse rooms are cat-friendly. If you are traveling with a cat, please feel free to request a cat-friendly room.

The maximum number of household pets allowed per room is four.
